Mauricio Pochettino says that Moussa Sissoko is still in Tottenham’s first-team plans.

Sissoko has been linked with a move away from the club after a disastrous first season following a £30m move from Newcastle.

West Brom are the latest team to reportedly show interest in a loan deal, with a move back to France also mooted.

However, Pochettino says that Sissoko is still in his plans. That will be music to the ears of every Tottenham supporter.

“Sissoko is training with Erik Lamela and Hueng-min Son back home and they are all at different levels so we will see in the next few weeks the evolution for every one,” Pochettino said.

“He’s a member of our squad and he’s in my plans for the season and for us he is still a member of the squad.”

Pochettino was speaking after Tottenham beat PSG 4-2 in Orlando.

“It’s important that in our first game in our pre-season to try again to feel the competition again, because it’s early but when you play against these type of teams, like PSG, always it’s important to compete.

“The result is not important, but it’s most important to recover all the feelings from last season and try to arrive, because the objective is to arrive always in the best condition to try to start to win in the Premier League.”
