Mauricio Pochettino remains silent on links with Saido Berahino, but says Tottenham are considering January signings.

The Tottenham boss has admitted he is keen to bring in more cover for striker Harry Kane in the January transfer window, which opens on Friday.

Pochettino refused to be drawn on a fresh move for West Brom’s Saido Berahino but admits he is in regular discussions with Levy about targets.

“Maybe every day we chat five minutes, 10 minutes, we have a very good relationship,” Pochettino said.

“We are ready to take the better decisions for the team and the future of the club. That might mean we bring players in, or not. The better decision might be not to bring players in.

“Today we are very happy with the squad we have. We have a strong squad. In the place we are after 19 games it means we are in a very good way and our decisions were good.

“Only if we can help the team, maybe we take some decisions. For that we need to be sure that if we need to bring players in they are the right profile.”
