Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was happy with his team’s performance in their 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
Son Heung-min scored twice, either side of half-time, to give Spurs a five point lead over fifth-placed Chelsea – who play leaders Manchester City on Sunday.
“I was pleased with the performance, we deserved the three points,” said Pochettino.
“It is never easy to play Premier League games and today was tough.
“It’s not easy to play Huddersfield because you can’t play the tempo you want. At half-time, we fixed the situation and we dominated. We needed to be clinical, we had a lot of chances.
“Son’s performances have been consistent and he is helping the team to achieve. Three points today means we’re in a very good position in the table.
“There is a long way to go until the end of the season. We are going to fight to take our place in the top four.”
