PSG midfielder lays into club after Real Madrid defeat

Adrien Rabiot says that Paris Saint-Germain “have to stand up and be counted” after their defeat to Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Real won the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie 3-1.

PSG can still reach the quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory at the Parc des Princes, and the tie is far from beyond them.

But Rabiot, who scored PSG’s opener and played the full 90 minutes, has laid into the club, who beat Dijon 8-0 in Ligue Un just one month ago.

“It’s all well and good putting eight goals past Dijon, but it’s in matches like this that you have to stand up and be counted,” he told BeIN SPORTS.

“I am disappointed. We started by producing the match that we needed to. We always say the same things, we always do the same things, and in the end, we are always floored in the same way.”

Sign him up, Liverpool.
