West Ham United goalkeeper Darren Randolph believes the Hammers’ 3-0 win over Liverpool showed what the club is capable of under Slaven Bilic.
Following a win over Arsenal on opening day, West Ham suffered defeats to Leicester and Bournemouth and went into the game at Anfield in low spirits.
Randolph came into the side following Hammers number one stopper Adrian’s sending off against Leicester and featured in the surprise win over Liverpool, and believes the game showed West Ham’s true prowess.
“It was disappointing to lose the two home games but it shows what we can do when everyone is at the top of their game,” he told the club’s official website.
“We showed what we are capable of and it was no different against Liverpool.
“It was a great victory and that sums up football in the space of a week. I don’t think anyone would have though that would happen.
“It was a great performance and similar to the Arsenal game and we got the win.
“The chairman came in the dressing room and said I wasn’t going to get paid as I didn’t have to make a save to make!”
