Mahrez has captured the attention of plenty of Premier League clubs after his scintillating start to the season, with his excellent equaliser against Spurs representing his fourth goal in the Foxes’ opening three games.
Vardy has also been integral to Leicester’s impressive unbeaten start, but Ranieri insists his star duo are not for sale at any price.
“Nobody is leaving us,” he said, as quoted by the Leicester Mercury.
“Everyone is staying. We don’t need the money. Maybe someone is coming in, but no-one is leaving. Not just Vardy or Mahrez, but everyone is in good condition. We start very well but we must improve a lot.
“I don’t know what they are worth, I am just the coach. I don’t want to talk about millions. I speak with my chairman and I want them, he wants them, so no-one is going away from Leicester. We are building a very good team.”
Instead, the Italian claimed that Leicester, who have signed six players so far this summer for a cumulative £26.2million, are still chasing new additions themselves.
“Maybe some good players will come,” he said. “We have just over a week to go, so why not?”
Ranieri reserved particular praise for Algerian star Mahrez, whose four goals in three games matches his strike record from 30 league games in all of last season.
“I told him before the match, it is not important how many goals he scores, it is important how he plays for his team-mates,” he said. “Then the goals will come.
“If I speak about Mahrez, then I speak about Shinji or Vardy, everyone is important.
“Tactically everyone did a good game. Maybe it is the first time they think about what they must do on the pitch.
“It is not easy when they are used to playing freely. You know the Italians are very tactical. I want to blend their skill with my tactical knowledge.”
