Roma have asked to take Wojciech Szczesny for another season and will pay the Polish keeper’s full wages, according to reports.
Szczesny understandably has no interest in returning to Arsenal and vying with David Ospina for a place on the bench behind Petr Cech.
According to the Daily Mail, ‘Arsenal want a loan fee for Szczesny before agreeing to the move’.
Szczesny recently said: “Everyone knows I’m really happy here. I’d like to be able to tell you about my future, but I don’t know what it holds for me.
“I’ve expressed my intentions to the two clubs and now it’s up to them. I have to decide what’s best for my career.”
