Real Madrid have suggested that they will not make a move for Harry Kane because of Tottenham’s expected asking price.
Kane has been linked with a move to Real over the past few months, the striker having held his own at the Santiago Bernabeu when leading the line for Tottenham in their 1-1 Champions League draw earlier this month.
Real president Florentino Perez discussed the rumours on Monday evening, and stated that the England international would likely cost at least €250million, or £223.2m.
“I think he is a magnificent player and, moreover, he is young with many years ahead of him to progress,” Perez told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.
When asked whether he has requested a valuation on Kane from Tottenham, he replied: “No, because if I ask, they will tell me €250million.”
