Tony Adams’ poor start as manager of Granada worsened on Saturday as footage emerged of him being mocked by Real Madrid star Isco during their 4-0 loss.
The former England international took over the reins at the lowly Spanish side in an effort to help them avoid the drop but Adams has lost all five of his matches in charge, conceding 13 and scoring just one.
Adams, 50, had been appointed as the club’s sporting director by their Chinese owner until he was put in temporary charge of first-team affairs until the end of the campaign.
Zinedine Zidane had decided to rest several of Real Madrid’s players against Granada with an arguably more important fixture against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League coming up on Wednesday.
Isco was one of the players rested for the match and seemed to take great pleasure in winding up Adams over his choice of attire, which included a waistcoat. He was heard shouting from the bench: “Hey, waiter. A Coca Cola!”
To the amusement of his fellow benchwarmers.
