Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been told that Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is close to finalising a deal to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to reports.
Hazard helped guide the Blues to the Premier League title last season under Antonio Conte with 16 goals and five assists in 36 league matches.
And those performances have seen the Belgium international linked with summer transfers to both Barcelona and Real Madrid, with the latter thought to hold more sway with Zinedine Zidane in charge.
Barca still have money to spend following Neymar’s world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain, while Hazard has reportedly been admired by Zidane for a while.
Don Balon claims that Messi has been told that the Catalan giants are likely to miss out on Hazard to Real Madrid with a deal poised for the end of the season.
The report continues by suggesting that president Florentino Perez is ready to give Zidane his wish after months of asking the club to sign the Chelsea star.
Hazard, who Real reportedly reckon they could get for around £90million, would inject fresh life into Real’s forward line with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale – who has been suffering through injury – and Karim Benzema not hitting their best form.
