Report: Roma deal to pave way for Alisson to join Liverpool

Roma have reportedly reached an agreement with Malmo to sign goalkeeper Marko Johansson as the future of Alisson remains clouded.

The Serie A club are trying to extend the contract of Brazillian No.1 keeper Alisson, but they know they face a difficult prospect with plenty of interest in the 25-year-old.

And Italian transfer ‘expert’ Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma and sporting director Monchi have agreed a deal with Malmo to sign Johansson.

The report claims Roma have lined up a €2million summer transfer, with €1.5million in bonus (we’re not quite sure what that means), however the player has yet to agree to the move.

The 19-year-old is on loan with Trelleborg and will apparently only move from Sweden to be a No.1

The source cites the player saying: “Either I start or I stay in Sweden.”

Red Bull Leipzig are also interested in the keeper as they prepare for life, possibly, without Peter Gulasci.

Monchi wants a back-up plan for Alisson, but per the source, the “ball is in Johansson’s court”.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool are all believed to be interested in Alisson, but Di Marzio says Los Blancos would be in pole position for his signature having already got a deal in place with the Brazillian’s agent.
