Roma have spoken out over the future of Chelsea target Edin Dzeko, who is “happy” in Italy.
Dzeko has emerged as Chelsea’s leading transfer target this month, with the Premier League champions proposing a double deal with left-back Emerson Palmieri included.
Numerous reports, including from The Guardian, suggest that the Blues could pay £44million to sign both players this month.
But Roma director of football Monchi insists any offers received thus far have not been “acceptable”.
“Every club in the world would at least consider any offers that come in,” he said.
“We are ready to listen, and then we’ll decide.
“At the moment Dzeko is here and we are all happy. That means that what we’ve received so far wasn’t acceptable.”
