Danny Rose is unsurprised by Manchester City’s dominance so far this season, as they outspent all their rivals.
City spent £221.6million in this summer’s transfer window, the second-biggest spend of all-time only behind Paris Saint-Germain’s outlay.
They have won ten of their 11 Premier League games this season, only dropping points in a draw against Everton in August.
Pep Guardiola’s side are also top of their Champions League group with four wins from four, and are into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
But Rose is not surprised by their success.
“I’m not surprised how well they’ve done, considering how much they’ve spent,” he said.
“You’d like to think a team spending that much is going to be right up there.
“I know you can always say nothing is won in November but they are going to take some catching. We’re up for that challenge. We’ve already marked down when we play them – December 16.
“We’re looking forward to that and we just have to make sure that, if they do slip up any points along the way, we’re ready and prepared to catch them.”
