Davinson Sanchez believes that he can “make a big contribution” at Tottenham.
Sanchez’s potential £42million move to the north London club was confirmed on Wednesday, with the player now just waiting on a work permit to be available for team selection.
Spurs will pay an initial £28m for the centre-half, but add-ons could take it to a club-record fee eventually.
In his first interview as a Tottenham player, the 21-year-old outlined his hopes going forward.
“I already feel at home here,” Sanchez told the club’s official website.
“This is a massive opportunity for me because of what of what Tottenham represents, not just here in England but around the world.
“I’m strong in the tackle and always try to play proper football, I think that those are my main characteristics.
“I think everybody knows what I can become and what I can bring to the club, such as my pace and my mental strength. I think that makes me a player that can make a big contribution for Tottenham.
“This is one of the biggest clubs in the world we can compete on any level and with any team.
“Being able to work with players of this calibre gives you the opportunity to develop individually too, I think that when the whole group improves so too do the individuals.”
