Savage: Palace could be ‘worst ever Premier League side’

Robbie Savage thinks Crystal Palace could go down on less points than the Derby County side of 2007/08 and become the “worst ever Premier League side”.

That Derby team only managed to claim 11 points all campaign with only one win all season and were relegated by March.

Seven matches into the new Premier League season and Palace have yet to get a point or a single goal, while they have conceded 17 as they unsurprisingly find themselves bottom of the standings.

And Savage thinks Palace – who sacked Frank de Boer only four matches into the season – might struggle to reach Derby’s 2007/08 total.

“They could go down as the worst ever Premier League side,” Savage told BT Sport.

“It’s their seventh game, they haven’t scored a goal, their record signing is out until January, they are woeful.

“Roy Hodgson, who was woeful with England by the way, is he going to inspire to keep them up?”
