Schalke remain hopeful of keeping Arsenal and Liverpool target Leon Goretzka beyond next summer.
Goretzka has six months remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga club, and Premier League suitors are among those circling.
Arsenal have reportedly identified the midfielder as one of their main summer transfer targets, while Liverpool see Goretzka as a potential replacement for Emre Can, who is in a similar contract situation at Anfield.
Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel was asked about the 22-year-old, who is also a target for Barcelona, on Tuesday.
“I think if Schalke had no chance to keep him I would be the first to know that,” he told SportBild. “But I haven’t received that kind of information until now.
“Leon will make a decision soon without us building any pressure on him.”
