Sheff Wed v Scunthorpe preview

Sheffield Wednesday skipper Rob Jones could return to face his former club.
The 6ft 7in central defender, a summer signing from Scunthorpe following a loan spell with the Owls last season, has missed the last two games due to a broken nose.
Manager Gary Megson made eight changes to the side beaten at Blackburn in the Carling Cup in midweek and the likes of goalkeeper Nicky Weaver, defender Julian Bennett, midfielders Jose Semedo, David Prutton and Chris Lines and strikers Ben Marshall and Clinton Morrison are all expected to return to the side.
Winger Jermaine Johnson has yet to appear for the Owls this season after sustaining a knee injury in a summer friendly against Stoke, but is expected to return to full training on Friday.
Megson has no other new injury or suspension problems as the Owls bid for a third successive league win at home.
Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill could make changes after seeing his side edged out by Newcastle in the Carling Cup just 48 hours earlier.
Knill has no new injury or suspension problems, but midfielder Michael O’Connor is expected to miss out again due to an unspecified muscle strain.
Oliver Norwood, on loan from Manchester United, stepped in for O’Connor on Thursday night when Scunthorpe lost 2-1 after extra time, but Michael Collins provides Knill with an alternative option.
Fellow midfielders Garry Thompson and Mark Duffy stepped off the substitutes’ bench against Newcastle and could also provide Knill with fresher legs.
Striker Jordan Robertson (broken ankle) and defenders Cliff Byrne (back) and Paul Reid (groin) remain sidelined as the Iron chase their first league win of the season.
