Tottenham midfielder Son Heung-min and Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.

Son, who wanted to leave the north London club in the summer, was in incredible form last month, scoring two braces against Middlesbrough and Stoke to help Tottenham up the Premier League table.

Kevin de Bruyne was at the heart of everything good from Man City in September and shone in their derby day victory over rivals Manchester United.

Other contenders for the award are Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, Everton hitman Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.

Meanwhile, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and City manager Pep Guardiola have been nominated for the Manager of the Month award for September.

Guardiola had a 100 per cent record in September as he began life in the Premier League with a bang, while Wenger also enjoyed a perfect league record last month.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Crystal Palace’s Alan Pardew were also nominated for the award.
