Spurs have confirmed that winger Nacer Chadli will miss “around six weeks” due to an ankle ligament injury suffered against Liverpool.

Chadli was stretchered off during the 0-0 draw with Liverpool after collapsing under a 10th minute challenge from James Milner, with the Belgian subsequently substituted for Clinton N’Jie.

Spurs have since confirmed via their website that the Belgian, who has played 11 of the club’s 12 games so far this season, will miss “around six weeks” with the knock.

As a result, Chadli is set to miss seven games, a tally which would include three Europa League clashes and two London derbies with Arsenal and West Ham.
