Luis Suarez says he “misses” Liverpool fans, and has discussed a potential return to the Anfield club in the future.
Suarez left Liverpool in summer 2014 after three-and-a-half years on Merseyside, joining Barcelona in a deal worth around £70million.
The Uruguayan striker scored 82 goals in 133 appearances for Liverpool, including 31 goals in his final season at the club, which almost culminated in a Premier League title.
Discussing his future with ESPN, Suarez said: “You never know what will happen in the future. If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool – not for any other team.
“I’ve missed the fans,” he added. “The atmosphere is incredible, it’s incredible.
“Everyone who has played for Liverpool knows how important the fans are – they know they will always be in my heart.”
