Swansea agree £5m fee for Clement’s first signing
Swansea’s new manager Paul Clement is set to make Norwich left-back Martin Olsson his first signing as a Premier League manager.
The two clubs have reportedly agreed a £5m fee for the Swedish international who has been relegated twice with Blackburn and Norwich.
It has emerged that Swansea’s Welsh international left-back Neil Taylor has fractured his cheekbone.
The Swans revealed the 27-year-old suffered the injury in training on Wednesday morning and went to hospital later in the day, with Taylor now requiring surgery for the issue.
The Canaries are said to be keen to remove high earners like Olsson, John Ruddy, Sebastien Bassong and Steven Naismith from their Championship payroll.
Swansea are also said to have enquired about Liverpool’s discarded centre-half Mamadou Sakho but the BBC claim that the Reds want £20m for the Frenchman.
The Swans are also being strongly linked with PSV’s Dutch winger Luciano Narsingh, available for just £4m because he is out of contract in the summer.
