Son Heung-min scored twice on his home debut as a lone striker as Tottenham opened their Europa League campaign with victory against Qarabag.
The South Korean scored two first-half goals in quick succession, both after excellent work from young Dele Alli, as Spurs were forced to come from a goal behind at White Hart Lane.
Their Azerbaijini opponents took the lead on 7 minutes through Richard Almeida’s penalty, conceded by debutant Kieran Trippier.
Former MK Dons man Alli was then the architect of the comeback, providing two assists for clever finishes from Son, while Erik Lamela added a third with five minutes to go.
Summer signing Kevin Wimmer started and Clinton N’Jie also came on for his debut in the second half.
While Mauricio Pochettino’s defence looked suspect on a number of occasions, he will be pleased with the standard of victory from a side which included Andros Townsend as a starter.
