Tottenham move ‘is a possibility’ for Liverpool striker

Liverpool striker Divock Origi could join Tottenham before the end of the transfer window, according to his father.

The Belgium international was an important part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad last season, playing 34 times in the Premier League and scoring seven goals.

However, Klopp plans to use him less this season and is willing to let him go out on loan to get some game time, while other reports have indicated Origi could be used in a deal to bring Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar to Anfield.

His Dad has claimed fellow Premier League side Spurs are interested in his son, he told DH.be: “We’ve not been contacted by Anderlecht. Divock has to leave Liverpool to get more playing time. Tottenham is a possibility, but there is also interest from France and Germany.”

Origi watched Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Arsenal from the stands with it looking more likely that he will have to leave the club on loan to find regular football.

Daniel Sturridge seems to have moved above him in the pecking order after scoring in the win over the Gunners on Sunday.
