Roberto Mancini says he won’t be bringing Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure to Inter Milan.
Toure, who worked under Mancini at City, has been linked with a move to the San Siro as the Italian club look to build on last season’s fourth-place finish in Serie A.
The Ivorian played 47 games in all competitions for City last season however his contract expires at the end of the 2016/17 season.
Mancini is a known admirer of Toure but isn’t feeling optimistic about Inter’s chances of landing the 33-year-old.
“I can say that he’s still one of the best midfielders in the world,” Mancini told Sky Sport Italia.
“But now I think there’s no hope of seeing him with us.
“We saw (Inter CEO Michael) Bolingbroke today, but we didn’t talk about the transfer market, we’re focused on other things.
“What is the main focus? I don’t know, we’ll decide what moves to make.”
