Ambitious Antalyaspor could offer Andrea Pirlo €2million to join for an eight-game spell, the Turkish club’s president has confirmed.
Pirlo is currently contracted to MLS franchise New York City FC, where he made 13 appearances in his first season since joining from Juventus.
It’s believed the midfielder could seek a temporary club during the league’s off-season in order to boost his chances of making Italy’s Euro 2016 squad.
Former club Inter Milan have been credited with an interest in the 36-year-old, but the president of Antalyaspor claims Pirlo is keen to join the Turkish Super Lig club.
Reports emanating from local media claim the club are willing to offer Pirlo €2million to join for just eight games.
“We have spoken with [Pirlo’s] agent,” Gulterkin Gencer told Turksih newspaper Hurriyet.
“He said he would be ready to play in Turkey for eight games,” he added.
