The Europa League second-leg clash between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford on March 17 has been moved to an 8.05pm kick-off.
The game was originally scheduled for a 6pm kick-off, but United had requested for UEFA to move the game to a later time of 8:05pm.
United cited worries over supporters arriving at Old Trafford in time for the game, considering it was a midweek fixture.
The club also had safety worries concerning the volume of supporters in the city, especially during rush hour.
United wrote to UEFA as a result, and Europe’s governing body has moved the fixture back two hours to alleviate worries.
The first leg between the two sides will take place at Anfield on March 10, which is also an 8:05pm kick-off. This is the first time the two sides have faced one another in European competition.
