Jurgen Klinsmann has dismissed speculation that he is being lined up to replace Everton manager Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park.
Martinez is under increasing pressure with the club languishing in mid-table in the Premier League and last week fans unveiled ‘Martinez out’ banners in their draw at Watford.
And on Wednesday BT Sport and ESPN commentator Ian Darke tweeted: “Persistent Merseyside rumours that USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann could be next Everton manager.”
Rumours are wrong! Not going anywhere and Everton FC has a fantastic Manager in Roberto Martinez!https://t.co/G1fQiBmHzB

Darke has since deleted the post, but USA coach Klinsmann, who himself is under scrutiny over the USA’s progress, has denied the talk in his own tweet.
“Rumours are wrong! Not going anywhere and Everton FC has a fantastic Manager in Roberto,” wrote the former Spurs star.
