Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has reportedly angered Louis van Gaal after failing to reveal the full extent of his injury.
Rojo went off injured during United’s 3-2 victory against Southampton on Sunday, and Van Gaal revealed that he will also miss the Capital One Cup tie against Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
“Marcos Rojo is not ready to play. It’s not so nice that we have three defenders injured (Rojo, Luke Shaw and Paddy McNair),” Van Gaal said.
“I thought we were right on time for Rojo because we changed him in the game and he didn’t warn us he was injured – but he has a hamstring injury.”
After a crippling injury crisis last season United’s luck has improved, but left-back is now a position causing Van Gaal a few headaches. With Luke Shaw ruled out for six months and Rojo and Paddy McNair now also injured, the Dutchman has a decision to make whether to move Daley Blind across from central defence or ask Ashley Young to fill in.
Louis van Gaal tells #MUTV Rojo and McNair will miss the Ipswich game through injury but Jones is in the squad and will be on the bench.

It completes a rocky spell for Rojo at Old Trafford. The defender was fined by Van Gaal for failing to renew his passport in time, and rumours linked him with a move away from the club.
