Jamie Vardy and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger met on Friday ahead of a £20m transfer to the Gunners, according to reports.
The Sun on Sunday exclusively claim that the 24-goal England striker’ had face-to-face discussions with the Gunners chief in London on Friday morning ahead of a switch’.
This is backed up by Olivier Giroud saying: “I have been told that Jamie wants to join us and it’s very good news for us. I think we can be complimentary and that’s all I can say.”
It is thought that Arsenal are racing to push through the transfer before England fly off to France for Euro 2016, with ESPN claiming that a medical will take place on Sunday.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieiri was asked in Italy if the £20m transfer story had some substance and he said: “It’s all true.”
Re Vardy/Arsenal, would love to see #LCFC team stick together, but realistically not going to happen if players offered far more £ elsewhere

Leicester will apparently sign £25m Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani as a replacement, with coach Jorge Jesus saying: “He would score more goals for them than Vardy.”
