We need to be angry against West Brom – Klopp

Jurgen Klopp reckons Liverpool will have to be both “angry” and “patient” in their attempts to break down West Brom’s backline on Saturday.

The Reds host the Baggies at Anfield and will be looking for three points after their 0-0 draw against Manchester United on Monday in a drab affair.

Liverpool often have to break down defensive-minded teams on their own patch and Klopp says his players are prepared if that’s the case on Saturday.

“When you really want to be a competitor you need to be angry. That’s very important. That’s how it is,” he told a press conference on Thursday.

“West Brom is a very experienced team with a very experienced manager.

“They don’t want to come here and make it easy for us. I respect that.

“We need to be angry but at the same time patient.

“There is not only one way to be successful. We cannot choose their way and they cannot choose our way.”
