Arsene Wenger was quizzed over his future as Arsenal manager on Wednesday.
Wenger’s position at Arsenal is under significant doubt after their Carabao Cup final surrender to Manchester City.
That was the final straw for many fans, and even the Arsenal hierarchy is thought to be considering Wenger’s future.
There will be a review on his job at the end of the season, and a shortlist of seven candidates has been compiled.
Wenger was unsurprisingly asked about the speculation at his press conference ahead of Thursday evening’s Premier League clash with City.
“My position is my position. Honestly, it is the last worry I have at the moment,” he said.
“It is my way of thinking, to focus for the next game. My job is to perform and for other people to judge me.”
Asked whether there will be an end-of-season review of his position, he replied: “I just told you, I gave you the answer. [Our focus is] the next game.”
And when quizzed whether he expects to remain in charge, he responded: “I just gave the answer. If you need clarity, I can repeat exactly the same answer?
“Does it stop you to sleep that my position is uncertain? No.
“I’m just amazed that I always have to answer the same things. I turned the whole world down to respect my contract, I’m still amazed that I have to answer these questions.”
