Arsene Wenger has issued injury updates on three Arsenal players ahead of their game against Leicester.

Arsenal take on Premier League leaders Leicester on Sunday, with the gap to the table-topping Foxes already five points.

The Gunners ended a run of four consecutive games without victory by beating Bournemouth 2-0 last Sunday, and Wenger says he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the crucial game at the Emirates Stadium.

“We have a similar squad to last week,” Wenger said. “There’s still 48 hours to go and two more training sessions, but hopefully we’ll keep the same team.”

Wenger also discussed the fitness levels of Danny Welbeck, with the striker nearing a return.

England international Welbeck has not featured at all this season due to a knee injury, but Wenger has revealed that the 25-year-old is in line to return.

“Fitness wise he is there, he just needs to get competition ready.”

Wenger delivered less positive prognoses on Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla, who have been sidelined with long-term leg and knee injuries respectively.

The Frenchman added: “I can’t count on Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla for at least three to four weeks.”
