Sky Sports are reportedly considering Holly Willoughby and James Corden as hosts of their Friday night football show next season.
Premier League games will be shown on Friday night for the first time next season and the Daily Mail claim that Sky are looking to shake things up with their football coverage.
We can’t stress enough how bad a decision it would be to try and turn the live coverage of football into entertainment. Why not get Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan in to talk through their tweets of the week and get the players to sing before games? Whoever sings the best gets a goal headstart?
Other possible ideas include taking the show round the country or filming it outside. Both are equally awful.
It should be said that these are only ideas reportedly being considered. You’d like to think they might go for the controversial shout of professional, excellent coverage with insight as an added bonus. It’ll never catch on.
You're all aghast at the Corden / Willoughby news but let's hear YOUR ideas for making football popular with the masses.
