Wolfsburg will attempt to sign Liverpool striker in January
Wolfsburg want to sign on-loan Liverpool striker Divock Origi, if the opportunity arises.
Origi joined the Bundesliga club at the start of the season on a temporary deal after the signing of Mohamed Salah. Salah’s arrival would have limited Origi’s first-team chances even further.
The Belgian has settled quickly in Germany, scoring four goals in his 11 games in all competitions.
Wolfsburg sporting director Olaf Rebbe says that he will attempt to make the deal permanent, but believes it may be hard to persuade Liverpool.
“It would be negligent of us not to try,” Rebbe told Kicker.
“[But his bright start] makes it more difficult for us.
“We’re proud that we were able to convince Divock to join.
“He feels good here, and we are working on everything else.”
