Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka has spoken of his long-held desire to play in the Premier League.
The Swiss midfielder joined Gladbach from Basel three and a half years ago and is under contract with the Bundesliga side until 2019.
Liverpool and Manchester City have both been linked with Xhaka, with Bild reporting last month that the Reds had met with the 23-year-old’s agent in December.
Gladbach refused to entertain offers during January but the club is understood to be willing to listen to offers in the summer.
When asked about the possibility of a switch to England, Xhaka said: “I think everybody has a dream.
“Everybody has a childhood dream and that’s my childhood dream.
“If my dream comes true, it remains to be seen. At the moment I cannot say how realistic it is.”
