Yet another pundit claims Alli is better than Pogba

A third pundit has stated that he prefers Tottenham’s Dele Alli to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Neither player has particularly impressed this season, with Alli scoring just four goals and providing four assists in 19 appearances for Tottenham.

Pogba has fared no better, also scoring four goals in 19 games, and assisting just one, albeit from a deeper position.

Harry Redknapp has previously stated that he believes the England international to be the better player, while former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour supported the claim.

Sky Sports’ Peter Beagrie has joined the chorus of Alli backers, the crazy scoundrel.

“On current form it’s Alli every day of the week,” he told Premier League Daily, when asked which player he would take. “I watched him at MK Dons and saw his maturity.

“He’s terrific playing behind the striker, he’s got the mobility and football intelligence to run beyond the striker and can also drift into wide positions. He loses no opportunity to shoot at goal, and he’s got loads of self-belief.

“There’s no doubt Pogba on his day is absolutely outstanding, but on value to his team it’s got to be Dele Alli.”
