Hyde played the last 23 minutes of his side’s season-opening 3-0 defeat at Wycombe on Saturday and provided there were no ill effects he is set to play from the start for Russ Wilcox’s men.
City have also received a boost with the news that both last week’s loan signings – Stephane Zubar from Bournemouth and David Tutonda from Cardiff – are eligible to play.
But Michael Coulson faces a late test on the heel injury that kept him out on Saturday and Emile Sinclair (thigh) is still out.
Bradford boss Phil Parkinson must decide whether to make wholesale changes following his side’s 4-1 opening-day defeat at Swindon.
Parkinson could be tempted to recall midfielder Gary Liddle after he was an unused substitute at Swindon, while wingers Paul Anderson and Mark Marshall are hoping to make their first competitive starts.
Anderson and Marshall were two of five summer signings who started on the bench at the weekend and strikers Steven Davies and Luke James, plus goalkeeper Joe Cracknell are also in contention.
Former Crewe defender Greg Leigh, signed last week following a successful trial, is hoping to be included in the squad.
