Wilfried Zaha says that former Manchester United boss David Moyes told him to change his style.
Naturally conservative manager Moyes had no time for £10m man Zaha’s tricks and flicks and played him only three times before he was sent out on loan to Cardiff City.
He eventually left in a permanent move in February 2015 when he re-joined his former club Crystal Palace.
“Under David Moyes I had to adjust my game,” Zaha told Soccer AM.
“Certain managers want a trustworthy player, someone that will always keep the ball.
“But he was the only one who told me to stop some of the tricks and keep the ball in certain areas. So I tried to adjust my game then.”
Zaha is responsible for the most unsuccessful dribbles in the Premier League this season.
