The Canaries have been sucked into the dogfight at the bottom of the Premier League table and are only four points above the drop zone ahead of Saturday's clash with Swansea at Carrow Road.

Norwich also have home games left against Reading, Aston Villa and West Brom as well as trips to Arsenal, Stoke and Manchester City.

Hughton told the Eastern Daily Press: "There are a number of clubs in there fighting now but that is something we knew.

"Our season was always going to be based on the three points you can get at home and then anything else you get away.

"Our destiny was always going to be about the results at home. We have four home games and we have to look after ourselves.

"The players have to do it - and they've always responded. Our season has gone very much up and down, we've had very good runs and we've had dips. That's how it's gone. I think that's the nature of it with clubs of our stature.

"It's very difficult to be consistent week in, week out. What we have been is solid generally. We just need to make sure we can find the goals that are going to win us games."

h ha ha, excellent. Let's hope he goes on the run. Then they hunt piggy down for scoffing all the apples. At least he's done something right - he has united football fans, regardless of who they support, against FIFA and all those at the top who have been bleeding the game for their own means and giving nothing back.

till reckon Chelsea will go for Khedira as back up for Matic. I think it will turn out to be quite a Mourihno-y window: We'll see the squad players and youth in action pre-season, say things like well, we need not buy anybody and then the club will bid £60m for Pogba and send everybody on loan.

would love to be a fly on the wall at the meeting between Milner and Rodgers. I don't know if flies can count, but if they can then I would be counting the number of times Rodgers used the word outstanding in his attempts to get Milner to sign.
