Argentine striker Luciano Becchio, who joined the club from Leeds United in the January transfer window, finally got his Canaries career off and running to end a stalemate of 65 minutes in the Californian capital.

Republic of Ireland international Anthony Pilkington soon doubled the lead with a low effort from inside the area before Josh Murphy finished the game in style for the Premier League side with a stunning third.

Manager Chris Hughton had given a start to summer signing Nathan Redmond against the Mexican outfit but Dutch pair Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Leroy Fer were left out of the matchday squad.

The first half contained little goalmouth action but former Birmingham City winger Redmond was involved in the Norfolk club's best moments.

After the restart, half-time substitute Robert Snodgrass created the opener for the unmarked Becchio, with the striker heading home the Scotland international's pinpoint cross.

Becchio's presence in the penalty box minutes later allowed him to force the ball into Pilkington's vicinity, and the winger, who had found some space in the area, confidently struck the ball under goalkeeper Jesus Garcia.

Pilkington then turned provider for Murphy, the FA Youth Cup winner accepting his pass before curling a glorious effort into the far corner from 20 yards to finish the scoring spree.

reat games with free flowing atracttive football featuring 4 top teams, showing it is possible to win in the right way entertaining fans at the same time. All the mourinho apologists if you only care about the result why watch the game at all or any game for that matter. It made me laugh how they all turned up on twitter to criticise pep when mourinho couldn't even get this far.
