The Canaries lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa on Saturday, which led to chants of "Hughton, sort it out" around Carrow Road.

They quickly have a chance to bounce back when they travel to take on Watford in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

"It was disappointing, but this is a very quick opportunity to get back in to football," Hughton said. "We want to get back to winning ways there."

One of City's main problems has been scoring goals, despite the arrival of a battery of new strikers in Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Gary Hooper and Johan Elmander.

Nathan Redmond's winner against Southampton last month is the only goal the Canaries have scored in their last four league games.

Midfielder Jonny Howson is confident the goal drought will end soon.

"We need to address that, yes, but these things happen," the former Leeds man told Canaries Player.

"It is a long season, we will have our ups and downs, but it's a good group we have here so we will keep working hard and it won't affect the team.

"Whenever you have had a defeat you want to put it right as soon as possible and it helps having a game so soon after.

"Tuesday will be tough going to Watford, they have some good players and they are a good team, but we will go there looking to do well."

ang on there!! We've only just won the second in a row. Don't we have to win three, like Brazil, to get to keep the Cup permanently at our stadium? ;-)

enteke is an absolute steal for £32.5m, he would get into any team in the world (except Barcelona) at the moment. I've seen many very good strikers in my 30+ years as a Villa fan. This guy is the best without question.
