Midfielder Surman has spent this season on loan at Bournemouth, but still has a further year to run on his contract at Norwich.

He has not spoken to Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe about the possibility of a permanent deal and there is also uncertainty back at Carrow Road.

Neil Adams has been placed in interim charge following the recent sacking of Chris Hughton and Norwich are also inside the Premier League relegation zone with two games left to play.

"I haven't really had any contact with Norwich," Surman said in the Eastern Daily Press.

"I still have a year there left but until I sit down at the end of the season and speak to the gaffer here and see what he wants to do, and obviously what Norwich want to do, then I can assess it but, as of now, I haven't really got enough information from either side to see what I am going to do.

"It's still pretty unknown. If Norwich were relegated that would possibly affect things. I couldn't honestly say. Either way they have quite a big squad there but with relegation that probably means offloading players so you never know.

"I won't know until possibly a new manager comes in and I speak to him and then I will have a better idea."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
