The 22-year-old has been number one at the City Ground since taking over from Lee Camp midway through last season, and he is now regarded as one of the best young keepers in the country.

Whilst Premier League scouts are said to be keeping tabs on his progress, Darlow insists that he can realise his top-flight dream with Forest.

"I always wanted to play in the Premier League and for England - they were my two main dreams. I will keep working hard and I won't stop until I get there," said Darlow.

"Hopefully I'll go up with Forest this season and that will tick that one off the list.

"The England staff like you to be playing consistently at a high level. So hopefully, if I can stay number one here, they might notice me in the future."

Darlow is convinced that Forest can land promotion under Billy Davies.

"If we can maintain the level of performance we have shown in the first few games then, hopefully, we will be right up there (in the Championship)," he said.

"We have a great squad and should not fear anyone in the division. It is an exciting season for us."

Darlow recently penned a new long-term deal which he was delighted to do.

"It's great that my efforts have been recognised and to put pen to paper at such a big club as this, for the next four years, is a massive deal for me," said the 22-year-old.

"I don't get too carried away because you never know what is around the corner.

"I've never felt any extra pressure since becoming number one and I'll keep working hard to keep the shirt."

heyremind me of Utd's treble winning side. Swashbuckling and risk prone. We ha Jaap Stam to paper over the cracks at the back though. Not sure they have their Jaap yet.

he solution is to not feel sorry for any of Jabba, Gold or Sullivan. They're all deeply unpleasant and all deserve each other. If only West Ham would sign Barton and Suarez then no one would ever need to despise any other club.
