Andrew Crofts gave Brighton a first half lead, but Henri Lansbury equalized straight after the break and later added a penalty after striker Darius Henderson had headed Forest in front on the hour.

The win put Forest up to fourth and a delighted Davies said:"This team never say die, never, and it was a great three points.

"It wasn't one of our most emphatic wins but away from home we've done very well.

"The Brighton keeper made three or four great saves in the first half and we were disappointed to go in one nil down.

"At the interval I felt confident we would get the three points and we did so by showing tremendous resilience and wonderful character."

Davies admits he is "very pleased" with his side's points tally so far, but insists he is looking no further than their next game at home to Bournemouth.

He had special praise for two-goal Lansbury and said: "He is a great character, you can see the spirit he plays with. He has a great work ethic and fully deserved his two goals."

Davies had no comment on the altercation which saw Brighton goalkeeping coach Ruben Martinez sent to the stands following a shove on Forest assistant manager Rob Kelly immediately after the sending off of Forest midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah 23 minutes from time.

Brighton head coach Oscar Garcia was guarded in his comments and said of the incident: "Sometimes this kind of thing happens.

"It's a game that everybody wants to win and we tried to play against them face to face. He (the referee) didn't send anyone off from Forest and sometimes it's difficult to keep calm."

The injury-plagued Seagulls have only won one of their last seven games and Garcia is concerned at their record of scoring just five goals in six matches.

He added: "I'm proud of how we are playing. It's significant that the ground is full and I'm proud of the fans and the way they supported the team all the time despite the bad result.

"I'm also proud to be the coach of Brighton. The fans support the players and the team. They know we play attractive football but the black point is we don't score."

Garcia felt it was no disgrace to lose to a Forest side containing "high level players" with "one of the highest budgets in the league".

He added:"The facts are that we have seven or eight players out injured. When you see their bench, they have players who can change everything. But we tried to get a win against a very good team.

"Now coming into the international break it's a good time to get a rest and we will do our best to add to the squad by getting some new players in."

m only commenting on this (I don't care about Liverpool) because F365's twitter said I had call Matt Stanger a tw*t (which I don't agree with anyway) but I just wanted to be the first. Am I the first?

Trial And Error Rather Than Transition

S

unday, Sunday. Will there be a fan of either team, who if they are winning after 80 mins, won't still be nervous? This could be anything from 0-0 to 5-5, and no one would bat an eye.
