Darren Ferguson: Took another two loanees from Manchester United

Ferguson, whose dad Sir Alex has been in charge at Old Trafford for the last 26 years, signed Scott Wootton and Davide Petrucci from the 12-time Premier League champions on Wednesday.

Ferguson junior has borrowed Ben Amos, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Nicky Ajose from United in the past during his tenure at London Road, and this is the second time he has loaned Wootton.

But he is adamant his family connections play no part in Posh being able to borrow some of the best young talent in the country.

"I look at players from all clubs, not just Manchester United," Ferguson told the media ahead of his side's Championship trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

"We wouldn't get them if Manchester United thought the players wouldn't benefit from joining us.

"United loan out a lot of players to different clubs and it's not as though we're always going back there for players anyway."
