The cold weather has seen several sporting events postponed this weekend due to snow and frozen playing surfaces.

But Chelsea said there were no major problems at Stamford Bridge and the game will be played at 4pm as planned.

"Today's Barclays Premier League fixture against Manchester United WILL go ahead as planned,'' a statement on the club's website said.

"The Stamford Bridge site and surrounding area is being cleared of snow and

local transport is working.''

"Kick-off is at 4pm. Supporters are advised to allow extra time for their

journeys.''
