@1rickk...The noises from the squad seem to be indicating that they want him back, or maybe that's just the line there being expected to peddle, who knows? I don't really care whether he plays or not, but hopefully a decent deal can be done come summer. As for having the money...the investment was never meant to be bottomless and although I imagine the initial punishments wont be too drastic financial fair play is lurking on the horizon.

Not sure I understand this. It seems that the immature child Carlos is going to be rewarded for throwing a fit, going on a trans-atlantic joy ride and skipping work by being put back into the first team. Isn't that sending the wrong message? I would force him to play with the academy for the next 2 seasons. Maybe by then he'll have grown up.

Are United fans allowed to laugh here? ;-)

All the reports from the players are that they would welcome Tevez back so I don't think it would cause any bother with team spirit. Whether he would get a game probably depends on fixture congestion caused by a possible successful Europa cup run because none of the strikers are injured at the moment. Mancini is also playing the situation very carefully by accepting the apology and showing magnanimity. However fans seem to be split between those who think he could help us to win something and those like me who wouldn't give an inch to someone who has insulted his club, colleagues, boss and the fans. Do one Tevez.

@1rickk.....because they have a massive deficit. They could have got rid plenty of times before now but they wanted 50m for him at first, but with FFP coming in, who can afford him and his wages? No one. Money rules at citeh. If they wanted to make a stand they should have sacked him and sued him for the losses.....but they wouldn't have got enough cash back. Embarrassing for them really, having to take a player back that clearly doesn't want to be there.

Surely a mistake by City, they have the money just to get rid. Why risk team spirit.

As much as I think Tevez is a good footballer, he's poison, and you need to get rid. I'd be fuming if I were one of the current City strikers who have worked their ars3s off all season only to have Tevez picked before me. Unfortunately, it's a catch 22. You will need to play him to get his value up so you can off load him in the summer for a decent fee. Will be an interesting few months.

t's a bit sad to see Bosingwa leaving after he finally seemed to show some defensive ability when moved to centre back against Barca, but at least we'll be forced to pick up some sort of right fullback as cover. His new haircut seemed to decrease the prominence of the monobrow too.

ou realise this means he'll have more free time to tweet, appear on newsnight, and google philosphers... ban seems about right, but there will never be consistency from the FA, so that completely undermines any possible lesson to the kids. Apart from the lesson about being part of an important cash cow.
