David Gill: Accepted invitation for United to visit Australia

United will visit Australia for the first time since 1999 for a pre-season tour as they prepare for the 2013/14 campaign, facing the All Stars on July 20 at the ANZ Stadium.

United chief executive David Gill said: "We are delighted to accept the invitation from the New South Wales Government and the Football Federation Australia to visit one of the world's truly great cities.

"There are three main reasons we go on pre-season tour. First and foremost is the team's preparation for the season ahead. But the tour also allows us to engage with our global fan base and network of commercial partners.

"It has been a while since we last visited Sydney and we are looking forward to renewing our relationship with our loyal and enthusiastic Australian fans."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
