Lugano has struggled to make an impact at PSG since his 2011 move from Fenerbahce and has been tipped to leave in the January transfer window.

He was linked with a switch to Brazilian side Gremio, but Lugano's representative Juan Figer says there is interest in the 32-year-old from England and Spain.

"There are contacts for a move from Paris St Germain in January and our intention is to remain in Europe," Figer told tuttomercatoweb.com.

"There is a Spanish and two English clubs interested in Lugano.

"Ancelotti wanted him in Paris but then, with the arrival of Thiago Silva, did not give him space.

"There have not been any contacts with Serie A clubs and it would certainly be a fascinating solution, but other paths seem more viable."
