Adel Taarabt: Believes QPR can survive in the Premier League

QPR were a long way from safety when Redknapp replaced Mark Hughes at the Loftus Road helm, but an unbeaten run of four games has lifted them off the bottom of the table.

Taarabt, who scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Fulham on Saturday, has now urged his team-mates to push on during the festive period and further boost their survival hopes.

"We are now unbeaten in four games and we know that we have to keep going like this," he said in the Daily Star.

"If we can do well over Christmas I think we will have a real chance of staying up.

"I hope now we can start to believe in ourselves because if we keep winning games we will get out of trouble."

Taarabt, who has been likened to Paolo Di Canio by Redknapp, produced a sparkling performance against Fulham and is relishing his role just behind the striker.

He said: "It has been a long time since I have played in this position but the gaffer put me there and that is where I like to be.

"We deserved to win against Fulham because we created all the chances in the game."

Taarabt has also thanked the QPR supporters for getting behind the team and he hopes they will have a lot more to celebrate after a first win of the season against Fulham.

He said: "The fans were fantastic and I think we gave them a great performance.

''They have been waiting for this since the beginning of the season and they deserved this win.

"I hope we can give them more wins now and I hope at the end of the season we will still be in the Premier League."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
